Our Story
Started in 2017, after eleven years of working for some of the big name dealers of Caterpillar, Kohler and Generac branded generators, my experience has always been on the service side of the company. Despite working for a distributor of a particular brand of equipment, my focus was always on working with all brands of equipment and designing solutions based on what the customer needs dictated.

What I found to be a fatal flaw of all of those experiences is that the "big box" generator dealerships and/or distributors are geared towards selling new generators. The mindset at those companies was on inflating the value of the name of the equipment (and therefore their profits), but overlooked the customer when it came to service after the equipment was sold.
Their goal was to constantly "preach" the value and quality of their brand of equipment and their solutions but force the processes and procedures upon the customer and force them to do business the way they dictated. They were the hoarders of vast libraries of knowledge on emergency power generation equipment, but they keep their information proprietary so the customer doesn't know their secrets!

In my experience, most customers want to know about their equipment and how it operates. Furthermore, customers are more than capable of understanding problems as long as someone will listen to their questions and provide them with the information they need.
We offer custom maintenance programs based on the requirements of our customer that is relevant to the specific generator application. Our recommendations for service is based off the requirements for your particular piece of equipment and our pricing is straightforward and open.

What I have created at Texas Generation is a company independent of distributors in an effort to turn the generator service industry back to focusing on customer needs. Our goal is to work with you to find the best solution to your requirements that is both reasonably priced and in the best interest of you and your equipment.
